Re: Something a little different SFWD Build 2011
For the front end, I made all the original pieces then took them to a local fiberglass company that makes a lot of monster truck bodies. They charged me $300 to make a mold of my pieces and $500 to make me the 3 pieces out of fiberglass.
Matt it will probably get a wing to take away from the bubble rear down the road.

I like that it is different and that you are still plugging away at completing it. Good luck with it man!!!

Been working like crazy on the car, happy that the body work on the front end is done and ready for paint. Had a good 30hrs in that... Added my wastegates to the manifold, not completely happy about the one side but space is a major issue. Today on lunch I built and tac'd the dump tubes and cut the hood.

The meanest lookin cavi around!! Love the front end it looks so mean!! Question. Why did you run all the way to the fender for the exhaust instead of straight up the hood?

Always peaking around at the builds on this forum...this is THE coolest, most unique project on here. Thumbs up for building something that does not have a lot of aftermarket support for it. Best of luck and hope to see updates real soon.

Re: Something a little different SFWD Build 2011
Thanks everyone for the kind words, I haven't took the time out to take any pictures. I got my engine bay painted and have been working on building a gas and brake pedal assembly. I also sent my header, exhaust housing and wastegates to tirado to get coating, so once they get back I can get the real motor in the car. Oh and I have a few updated pictures on my Instagram... Re: Something a little different SFWD Build 2011
so finally got some updated pictures. Got the race motor and transmission installed in the car for good I hope. But as it turns out the bell housing I used for mock up was 3/8" narrower than the actual transmission I am using. Luckly I am able to still use the front trans. mount but had to start building a new rear one. Another possible issue I am trying to figure out is with the narrower bell housing I don't know if it is causing a issue with the clutch. If the car is in neutral car rolls, in gear it will turn the motor over. So seems right, but today pushing the car around if I turn the wheel the car trys to straighten out the wheel and becomes almost impossible to push. So if anyone has insight on if this sounds normal with slicks on, or if I'm going to be chasing issues. On the pedals I made the brake assembly and the gas pedal with the throttle cable mount, and made a scatter sheild for the trans since no one makes one of those either. Anyways on to the pictures
