Default Solid mounts/Loctite question? Lol.

I am actually curious/paranoid about this....

But has anyone had any problems like tensioner bolts/oil pump bolts backing out by switching to solid mounts?

Thanks.

Been running solid mounts for about 3 years and only thing ever noticed was oil pan bolts loosening.

3 bolts on the intermediate shaft came loose while I was on the dyno, bolts that holds the traction bar came loose on me too.

I have innovative 85a's and they rattle bolts loose all the time. I just went through on wednesday and re-tightened every suspension bolt 90% of them were loose. I have had the 3 bolts that hold rear motor mount come loose so many times that I finally lock-tited the bolts, same with intermediate shaft bolts.

ive had a couple bolts back out on me, solid mounts, h22, no balance shafts.

off topic but didnt want to make a thread about it...

odd question, but do you need engine grounds with solid engine mounts??? i am just curious, i am running all my grounds. it seems as if you can get away without running grounds to the motor other than the thermostat ground

FWIW, I'm not a big fan of loctite. When you need to remove that item, it can be a pita.

I have found oil pan bolts lose on a normally mounted engine.

It's also a good idea to check all the bolts every now and then when you run solid mounts.

When we were running the car I would go over all the nuts and bolts before the weekend. I find it's best to do that when your all alone, no one to bother you.

I was very suprised whhen I switched to avid solid mounts, they were not much different in cabin vibration wise than the avid inserted alum mounts I removed.

So far nothing has vibrated loose, but we will see, I have only had them for 250 miles.
