Default Slick Sizing help

Hey everyone, Im pretty inexperienced with slick sizing and such so I thought I would ask you guys. I am in the process of building my ek with an ls motor again. It will have a built head and around 440-470whp through the ls tranny, I also will be revving to around 8000rpm as long as the cams still make good power. My question is what size slicks would you go with. I was think of 24.5 inch to reduce wheelspin issues, but i will have a lot of gear to work with. I think 22's will be too small and I will have traction issues so then I considered 23.5. What would you experienced guys do? Just stick with the 24.5's so I have the tire for future upgrades? Thanks in advance for your help.

i like my 24.5's...they are big though.

i ran 22's (tallkyles sister's boyfriends) and ran just as fast, but i was running most of the way through 5th (short)

with the 24.5's i have now, i'm just reving out 4th @ 120 ish. (118 was my best trap)

i'd go with 24.5's with your future power level.

Thanks for the input. I was planning on the 24.5 but now that I have experienced back up on the matter, I will feel more comfortable spending the 600 bucks on a set with lensos.

yeah, i ran well on the 22s, and it got out hard, but i only had around 300 whp then.

i didnt like how, with the short tires, i had the speedo BURRIED going through the traps, most of the way through 5th. i think my top speed would be limited to around 120 with the 22s..

with stock height tires, the theortical top speed is 126 i think @7200 rpms, so it seemed about right. i'm sticking with the 24.5s, and i think you'd like them too.

Thanks for the info. I am probably just going to get a package deal with some lenso's if possible, but we will see.
