Im about to order some slicks and need some input on size.The car is a CRX with a turbo LS/Vtec roughly 3-350whp running a LS cable tranny.I cant decide between the 24.5x8.5x13 or maybe a 23x8x13 to help with the lame gearing the LS tranny has.I see a 22x9x13 also available which is nice and short.I'm kinda leanign towards the 24.5x8.5x13 as it would be good for in the future when i make so more power but then there is the shitty LS gearing again.

 

I wouldnt go too big since the effects may hurt your performance in the short term(with the amt of hp you have now). I'd start out with a 23x8x13. The smaller tire height will offset the low FD ratio you have on the LS trans. If you go with a bigger tire like the 24.5" its like lowering your FD some more. And with the amt of hp you are making anyways, you really dont need a 24.5" tire.
Also, the 22" may be too small for your hp, start with the 23" its a better choice and compromise.

 

The final drive issue is why i was hesitant to run a 24.5.Thanks for the input.

 

What if he had a gsr tranny, what size slick would you recomend?
Same horsepower 350-400hp

 

use a 24.5x7.0x13

cuz i got one for sale only did 5 pass on it
