Default Slick sizing with high hp....

After completing many searches, I am still not clear on what slick size I should be running.

To date I have been using a M/T 22x8x15 on my stock 15x6.5" wheels. I am constantly spinning the tires in 1st and 2nd...and am need of a slick/wheel upgrade.

I have access to multiple transmission/final drive setups, so please don't make advice based on mph or gearing. (I will take care of the gearing, etc.).

All I need to know is which size slick I should be running...and what will hold up to 500+ whp and give me the best traction.

I would appreciate 2 options:
1 with stock fenders in place (which can be rolled a little) and,
1 with severe fender modifications...

ps. the h23 is in a 4th gen prelude chassis

Thanks

Default Re: Slick sizing with high hp.... (XES)

Anyone know if a 26x8.5 will fit in the stock wheelwell? I'm pretty sure the height will (cause I have run some 215/65/15's - junk winter tires) before...but the 8.5 could be pushing it...

If not...then would it be wiser to throw some 26x10's in there? Would there be a significant difference between the 2?
