shaving the weight down in integras
hello guys,
I dont post here often, but im going to building a new weekend toy...finally purchased my next project car, newer generation integra.
a couple people finally convinced me to go with the larger wheel base and since i found an extremely clean integra coupe, sooooo i went ahead and got it.
im going to be runnin sfwd once im done, and im just a little worried about getting the weight down in this 'pig'.
what do most people do for all the weight savings?
power isnt going to be an issue. we all know how to make power in these cars.
im more concerned in the weight (not only saving weight, but also weight distribution) and aerodynamics
thanks,
willis

that sounds about right except for the fuel cell. They are not allowed in SFWD.
you can get as crazy as stripping the whole car down and media blasting it while spending nice amounts of doe on some carbon kevlar OMP bucket seats. btw your gonna have to get two of em, cause rule states in SFWD you must have two matching front seats. ALSO there is a weight limit in the class, i believe its 2400lbs. for one power adder, but if you shave the weight under that you can always add balast weight. ...it really all comes down to how crazy you wanna get, and how much you wanna spend.
...good luck with your build

be a 130lbs driver..
Last year my car was 2310lbs with me in it the 1st nopi race. We added some weight since then, and then for NHRA we are just over 2400lbs with seat, exhaust and heavier tires in the rear.
