Ryan ran a 10.12 @ 142 mph. The next pass the HG popped.
I just finished pulling the head. Ryan will decide what the next step is. We'll have the car back running in about 3 weeks. We plan to make the NOPI event at Epping NH in early Aug.
I see has updated his sig with the ET. I'll let him tell the rest of the story.

Re: (1992Si)
Byron, do you think the next step is to o-ring the sleeves to ensure better sealing of the HG?
Are you guys using a stock headgasket?
PS. Congrats on the new top speed and low ET!!!

Hi Chris,
We were down your way today. Salem four corners.
It's was a Cometic HG. Yes we have been thinking about O-ringing it. Ryan will talk with our local shop and Tony1 tomorrow.
We don't want to pull the block out just yet. So if we can just have the head machined it may happen.

Well you should have stopped by. I had a beer waiting for you guys.
Copper or steel o-ring?
Steel you need to machine both the head and the block. Copper you just need to do either. Most people cut the sleeves.... which I'm sure you are familiar with.
I've have always had great luck with the OEM gasket. I use one on my car now. I don't know what bore you guys run so I don't know if that is an option.
Have you measured the studs to see if they stretched? That might be the only thing that needs to be done. I remember Ryan telling me that you periodocially re-torque them.... did you ever get a basline measurement on the studs when you first installed them? If so then compare that measurement to what you have now.
