Roll cage?
Three part question here... At 11.99's you need a roll cage at many if not all tracks to run. (at least i know the area tracks here require it) But I forget, is it a 6 or 8 point cage that is required for 11.99's?
Secondly, i'm eeking into the low 12's now and wondered if I should worry about getting a cage now or just wait until I do hit 11's and need it to run at all? I know it really beefs up the frame which helps but its a good bit of weight just for the sake of safety. (anyone weigh their roll cage before welding it in?)
Last, can anyone post pics of their cages? I'm just looking to get some ideas... I've seen all sorts of designs but dunno whats legal and whats not. I'd like to keep the car somewhat easy to get in and out of still for the sake of daily driving but the extra safety of the cage even on the street isnt a bad idea.

all NHRA tracks require a 6 point at 11.99, our local track doesn't really enforce the rule on street nights and test n tunes until u r deep 11's. im sure at sanctioned events they are not so leniant though. Personally I wouldn't get the cage until they tell u too. Keep the wieght down while u can
I coulda swore it was 6 point at 11.99 and 10 point at like 9.99 or something like that. My track is pretty strict about the cage rule. They've kicked out a former track advertiser who kept running 11's without a cage.

If I am not mistaken all you need is a 6 point at 11.99. Our cage ended up weighing 78 lbs. in the car
