I'm leaning towards the S&W, considering its only $30 more than Jegs.

Thanks for the input guys.

Custom fit. Tig welded. Tight fitted joints. best fit imo is a custom fit

I agree that a custom cage is the best fitting cage, but not many of us can dump a couple/few thousand dollars into a cage.

Exactly.. This is a street car that gets driven once a week. I'd much rather dump that cash into more power!!

S&W are great as a pre bent 6 or 8 pnt. When you go with the 10 pnt it's the a pillar bars that don't fit well. If you have the means to bend them or tweak them a bit they can turn out nice. My min hoop was a great fit. My mistake was cutting the halo hoop too short, which pulled the a pillar bars to far in. Luckily mines not fully welded and will be fixed this year.

Whichever cage you get, just make sure someone who is good with a welder zaps it together for you.

I never said it couldn't be done, but if I came to you needing a cage, I couldn't get it for $225. Cage materials are cheap, if I can buy an s&w prebent cage for $200, I'm sure a bunch of straight tube is cheaper. The labor in making a cage is huge. Not saying it isn't worth the money, cause I do a ton of fabricating myself, but its still a huge chunk of money. I'm also not knocking a custom cage at all. I'd love to go that route once into too fast for this 8pt, but I'm not buying a bender and notcher for one cage. I have no desire to be in that business
