Default Roll Bars

What's up guys, looking for some personal opinions and experiences with pre made roll bars. I've been looking into getting the Jeg's 8 point for my EG. I just need 5 points for 10.0 @ 135, and don't plan going faster because its a street car.

Thoughts and opinions are much appreciated.

Thanks

Mocked up my s&w 10 pt I like it other people don't like it cause it's not as tight to the body as a custom cage. But 300 bucks I'll deal with the gap

I would go with a s&w or a kens customs kit instead.

S&W here, never bothered me. If i redid the cage i wouldn't go back with a prebent cage though...

But price wise, can you really beat $269 shipped?

I got the S&W 8pt. The custom stuff is going to be super fit to the car, much more expensive, but I've got a street car too. Who/How it's installed makes a difference of course.

I got in on the Cyber Monday deal a few years ago, and got free freight with S&W. I think I paid like 270 for my 10 point.

Im happy with mine.

Does the S&W come with everything needed?

Or do you have to purchase a "main hoop kit" separately?

S&W seems like a good deal...

The S&W comes with everything you'll need, however welding plates to the thin Honda floor didn't have my mind at ease after I did it. I ordered more plates and welded plates up the rockers and welded them to the floor plates. If I had to do it again, I'd order extra plates and sandwich bolt them to the floor on the front 4 points. The rear bars land on a frame rail, so you're good to weld there.

i have the jegs 8pt kit, but only put in 6 pts as im not going past 135 or under 10.0. all the pipes came a bit long which was good the main hoop was nicely done. i did have to weld some plate to the rocker arm at the bottom of the main hoop in addition to the 6x6 plate on the floor and gusset the hoop to that plate going up the sides. the rears fit nice they went right on top of the framerail. overall fitment is awesome i have less than 1/2 inch clearance from the roll bar padding to the interior plastics. ive seen some s & w kits have a few inches. here are pics of when i was putting it all together.

that last pic shows how nice and tight the top fits to the headliner.

I would support Art Morrison or S&W over Jegs. IMHO.

Support the small business.

I'm pretty sure an 8pt will take you to 10 flat.

You need a 5 point for 10.0 @ 135. I plan on buying an 8 point and just installing the hoop, 2 back bars, and the door bars. In theory, you only need 1 door bar.
