i guess it boils down to this . drag racing has made a name for themselves , and the drivers for drifting are "trying" to make a name for drifting , but they are getting way to ahead of themselves . drifting is still not widespread and personally i dont think it will . to me it looks like monster truck racing , somthing that will be done at fairs and such. its almost like an airshow , they are performers rather than race car drivers .

yep in ohio they use it as a "side show" type thing at the drag events...kinda like the bikini contests and what not

DRIFTING ISNT RACING, its a SHOW.

i went to the D1 event with some friends that really 'enjoy' drifting... and even i had a blast, doesnt mean im trading in my HONDA to get a 240.

RACING is competitive, youre trying to beat the other guy, and better your personal times.

DRIFTING is a show. POINT BLANK.

some of the kids in my area think theyre 'drifters' but to me it looks like powerslides.

not a real "DRIFT" .


i'm just gonna get some mcdonalds trays and call it a weekend.
