just search around, there are tons of people running e85 and making insane power on it! some people have stoped using race gas like c16 ect... all together and run e85 and my friend who is a reputable supra tuner SWEARS by it!!
im in the process of switching, we are making over 700 so far but i have ignition **** to fix and then we will get it up in the 800's. It was nice to ride up to the pump and pump 15 gallons of e85 for racing and pay less than 5 gallons of c16 LOL.

hmm, my tuner has never tuned on E85,but it's good tuner so far
is there a big diference on timing and dose of fuel? how it react with nitrous on boost
because i dont want to ruin 10000 engine
tnx

This is not the question to ask...
In my opinion E85 is NOW a Race Gas.
The problem with "pump" E85 in IMHO is the inconsistency in the blend.
If you are going to use pump E85 to race with, get your self a tester...otherwise, go with a consistent blend like Rocket Brand E85

take this with a grain of salt i guess, we tuned my car tonight on e85 and made over 800. The only thing different from last year is the fuel system and it was on 110 gas. The engine and turbo stuff is all the same, but this tune is open 4" DP vs a full 4" exhaust, i dont know how much that affects the spool and power band but like i said. Grain of salt. We still had fuel left but the dyno wouldnt let me produce more than 33 psi with my 13psi WG springs. the 7xx lines on the graph are about 27-28 psi but this isnt about peak numbers. The little drop before peak power is an ignition hiccup.

hit the nail on the head, no idea what regulations are on quality at the pumps but ive heard they are looser than for gasoline.
so what needs to be changed to run this stuff?
I am totally unfamilliar with it. Is it sold everywheres in the states? Would I be able to go to Maine and pick up a barrel of it?

Im just curious.... How do you have a 500hp honda and over 2,000 posts on this website and have no idea what E85 is?? geeze lol
I personally love E85! I run it on all of our high HP street cars out here. I have achieved very nice hp numbers using E85 which include several 500+ hp street hondas and a 700 hp k24 street car. I would have to pull up old dyno graphs but our Mr2 made quite a bit more power when we switched over to E85. After running our 553 hp Mr2 for 1000 miles we tore down the engine everything still looks brand new. You can't even tell the pistons have been used. I know the East coast guys do have different blends due to the weather temps so I would make testing the E85 a priority. As far as the fumes go... I love the smell of Ethanol as opposed to C16. Who knew that we could save the earth and make power all at the same time haha.

you notice my signature and my power level, but did you also notice my location... lol
we are in the dark alot of the times, we learn through here.
Makes sense. Ive heard it's hard to get in Canada, I did notice that on your sig I just thought spending a bunch of time on here you must have read about it. No problem either way. E85 is great, the only downside is depending on where you live they change it during winter months because it can be hard to start when it's cold. Some people have better luck than others but I live in Colorado and my car would not start in the mornings so I had to switch back to 91. This leads to another problem, in the summer its a "true" E85 (85% ethanol) but in the winters its closer to E70. E70 is still about 99 octane so it's good stuff, just not as good as the 106 ocatne E85. By the octane rating you can see both are great. But you can imagine the problems you can have tuning on 106 octane then switching to 99. Knock is not a good thing! Ive seen cars put down over 1400whp on E85... Hope this helps
