question about a line lock
i have a 94 civic with a rear disk swap and i want to install a line lock on the car i brought it to a localy shop that does mostly american cars and he said that he does 'nt know how to install it because of the way the prop valve is set up i was wondering if anyone has installed one in there car and if so what do i have to do its just the regular summit line lock
yea i was thinking the same thing because the line lock is 1 in and 1 out so i was just gonna run one on each line and tie the trigger wires into 1 so they both work 2 gether

I think It's a great Idea!! would allow you to preload that much more and probably save axels!
I may run a line lock to both the front and the rear, one for launching and 1 for burnouts

What I meant is that say while your going down the track and the switch makes a closed contact and fails. That locks the brake lines and prevents fluid from being applied to the brakes. Now your bias is all outta whack and braking will be difficult.

You do realize that line locks have check valves built into them, right? At least mine does. I can set it with no brake pressure, press the brakes, and then it holds. Also, how often do you see switches fail to a closed state?
It happens. Ever see someone that can't get off of their anti-lag because of a switch.... same thing.
I was unaware or the one way check valve. The ones that I have seen did not have them.

There was a video posted on here not too long ago where a RWD car seemed to have a line lock failure. Lifted the front tires, when it came back down the left tire was still locked and the car rolled like 4 times.

I have a customer who setup line lock on the front brakes. Seemed to work out pretty well. Just make sure you upgrade your brake lines. As the stock rubber lines dont hold up too well if you really lean on the brakes and apply the line lock. For the burnout he just uses the e-brake like normal. Brings the car up on antilag and does the burn out. When he comes too the line. He applies the brakes and hold the line lock. When he launches he just slips the clutch and releases the line lock.
We've managed a 1.64 60' with this setup.
