Default Question about classes

This may be a dumb ?, but I dont know too much about the technical side of drag racing. Correct me if I am wrong, but Hybrid Modified is generally the class where no motor swaps and no power addders are allowed. If this is so, what about a block swap. I am thinking of putting a B16A block in my 92 GSR, but keep the B17A head, tranny etc. I would like to compete in events next year in the Hybrid Modified class (if that is in fact the class where no motor swaps or power adders are allowed). Will I be able to run in that class with a block that didnt come in the car orginally?

Which sanctioning body? And I've never heard of no more swaps allowed in any class.
But no power adders would just be "all motor"

I received a pamphlet in the mail for the "Import vs. Domestics" at Maryland International Raceway. In the pamphlet, it had the four classes that wouldbe running. One of them was no motor swaps or power adders. I just realized that it couldnt have been Hybrid Modified because that would mean Motor Swaps were allowed. In the picture for the class, there was a black Type R. That guy is on this baord, I remember him saying something about his car being in the book.

Why do you say its stupid? And I just checked and it said that the engine block must have been available for that make, model and year of car. IN the US, there was no B16 in a 90-93 Teg. In Japan however, there was. Will that work? It also says that no motor swap to larger engine is allowed. A B16 is tehnically smaller than the B17, so is that a loophole?

I believe that the hybrids only run against the hybrids w/power adders....I forget though....the rules for Imstar are different than any other events.
