Rev to just below redline, drop the clutch, shift until the tires quit spinning then keep the car straight.

go somewhere and practice launching. try launching from 3000rpm's if you dont peel out then launch higher.

I usually slip the clutch out around 5400 and 6k rpms off the 2 step at about 80% throttle then as soon as the clutch is fully engaged and i feel traction i mash it to the floor and go....

But if your tires are sticky enough and you trust your axles to hold up, just like megotvtec said, start just dumping the clutch at 3k rpms, and work off of that in 500 rpm increments until you find that sweet spot....

thats true. if you got some 13"stock rims w/pos tires then good luck dropping the clutch. when i had my 13"s i had to launch at exactly 3500rpm's.
If i launched at 3800 id just burn out. and if i launched at 3300 id bog.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Tippyman98 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">ya, i would if i knew how to launch.</TD></TR></TABLE>
just hold clutch to floor, put it in 1st gear, slowly rev up and hold it steady at the rpm you want to launch at then let go of the clutch and stomp on the gas at the same time.
newb questions dont get much simpilar than this! lol. oh well got to start somewhere.

i always launch my car at 3 or 3.5. it does a little burnout, as soon as i hear the tire stop spinning i floor the gas. it took me a while to get the timing down right but it works i always kill everyboby off the line.
