Maybe some of you drag racing guru's can help me. I don't have anything major for a set-up, I'm just trying to lower my 60" time and hopefully my 1/4 mile time with an optimal launch control. Initially I had it set via my ecu at 5200rpm, but I'm still getting 1.9-2.0 60" times. I'm making close to 280whp in a fwd car. I have slicks and traction bars, but no lsd yet. I'm just wondering with this set-up if any of you might have an idea of what I should set my launch control at? Thanks
well since every ones car is a little different and tracks surface vary day to day, you will find that you need to keep adjusting it until you find what works bets for you. 280 whp is kinda low so you may need to try 6-7k to get the slicks spinning better. i know it dont sound like it works but fwd get better 60 fts when clawing and spinning threw the 60 then if they dead hook.

Slick size is 22-8-15...small, I know...I'm not too happy with the guy who recommended them. Air pressure 15psi.
And it does seem weird that I would get a better 60" time spinning, but I will definitely raise it next time. And I know it's hard to determine because there are so many variables, but thanks for the help!

Maybe take them to 12psi and work your way down to 10 psi slowly and see what that does for you. I agree you will have to leave at a higher rpm for that low of whp.

my 22x8x15's sucked, not enough side wall. changed to a 22x8x13 and dropped 1.5-2 tenths over the 15's but on the 15's with an open diff and no traction bars I was cutting 1.8's
I STARTED OUT AT 1.5PSI IN MY 24.5-8-13'S, AND EVENTUALLY STOPPED AT 7.5PSI.
YOU NEED TO ENSURE YOU TAKE NOTES AND RECORD EVERYTHING YOU DO THAT AFFECTS YOUR 60 FOOT TIME, AND YOU SHOULD BE GOOD MAN.

Well I'm not going to get new tires just yet because I just bought these, but I will lower the pressure, test it out, raise my launch and test that out as well. I guess it's just trial and error.
trial and error it is. next time at the track, start at 10psi, and drop the pressure in .5psi increments between rounds until you are no longer gaining anything from the pressure drop
