Default Product Test: Bullseye Power S368 (67mm) vs Garrett GT4294R (70mm)

looking to run power street, here is your turbo!!

needless to say, we are very pleased with the results of the S368 from bullseye power / borg warner.

set up on the car is:
GE sleeved block
manley rods
9.5:1je pistons
STOCK GSR cylinder head
STOCK GSR cam shafts
super tech springs/retainers
engine built by John at absolute proformance

inline pro exhaust manifold
4 inch open downpipe
3 inch intercooler piping

Hondata S300
aem 5 bar
s300 boost control
pcs dash logger

here is the GT4294r dyno chart (100% duty cycle on boost control)

here is the S368 dyno chart (90% duty cycle on boost control)

the distributor on the car is showing signs of crapping out, and the tires were spinning pretty decent on this pull as well i think with out spinning the car could make in the 30's

for borg warner / bullseye power

i see us selling a lot of these for the guys running the power street class, and the K-series guys running turbo street!

should hopefully post some pictures of the set up and what not here shortly

thanks, we try.

i guess i should note that ignition timing was untouched.

VE was surprisingly very similar unti i got to about 34lbs or so, then i had to start increasing fuel to achieve the same AFR. i like to run cars at these boost/power levels pretty rich, target air/fuel was around 11.3

The HO on the 67 is for the T3 using the Ptrim exhaust wheel.

This would blow the T4/67 out of the water, I see these maxing out at around 700whp (on an accurate dyno)/150ish mph

101.9mm ....83.4 and 73.4 for the turbine wheel.

Correct me if im wrong but same specs as a s372 but with a 68mm inducer?

I don't know if you meant the 4094 or the 4294, but the 4094 is a 67.8mm turbo. The 4294 is a 70.3mm.

Dan, We are extremely impressed with this turbo. Bullseye

Joe can you get the S368 with a T3 hotside? no money for it right now but would like to upgrade at some point if I keep the car and dont want to mess with swaping manifolds

No it's nt on the same back. I don't remember what it is off the top of my head. Maybe Jeff could pull the cover off and measure it for us? I think it is around 98 but don't quote me on that.

The exhaust wheel on the 368 is too large to fit in the t3 housing. I have sold numerous T3/S366 turbos, we will be doing some testing on one in the near future as well.

looking at the 2 charts is a little deceiving..it makes it look like the s368 hit peak boost real late, however it spun the tires at peak torque so its not showing as peak on the graph.

PCS logs showed just what the dyno chart does----spinning the tires right at peak torque, holding power better right after that, and breaking the tires loose again up top.

ignition timing was untouched from the original tune up with the 42r

the gt42 makes higher average power. alot closer if not some past the diagonal eficiency line in a graph. i cant overlap them i'm sure the poster can on the dyno graph plotting program. what i did was take the info and plot it into my own excel spredsheet n sure enough. the gt42's line is pulled further towards the upper left hand side of the graph.

depending on how much cheaper the other turbo is i'm sure its probably worth it. cuz it sure does seem to be able to make a very similar graph.
