i have a co worker that owns a 02 camaro ss and he was supposed to race my buddy with the rsx-s turbo for some bragging rights (they talk **** to eachother all the time). anyways they raced twice. the camaro hit his redline and lost badly so they decided to race again and this time the camaro and the rsx were even till about 70 (i was following) then the rsx's wastegate got stuck and lost all the boost. if u read my post about racing my buddy with my rsx u'll know that we are tie. so we decided that i'll race him. we raced twice both from 40mph. as soon as we both gunned it i was already in full boost and i jumped about 1-1.5 cars on him. i kept my lead till about 80 and then i see him inching on me. i was ahead when i shut down at around 100, but only by like 2-3 feet. if we went a full quarter mile we both agreed that he would've won by like half a car. i'm still really impressed with my car. its not even tuned. my 3 in exhaust made a big difference.
oh yeah, his mods are
-intake
-predator tuning thingy (looks like a apexi power fc)
-he ran an 8.3 in the 1/8th

sorry no real dyno numbers. i'm gonna have my dyno when i tune my car with hondata early feb. i'm guessing around 240-245 @6psi. thats what my power meter says. and it's 8th mile timer is accurate. i guess when i dyno we'll see how accurate the power meter is.

wow, i think the guy in the camaro cant drive, i've sen them run high 12's stock and 11's with bolt ons, he cant drive (obviously if he hit red)

well he did hit 8.3@ 85mph (traction issues) in the 8th. the time he hit his redline was with the rsx. he didn't hit red with me. thanks for the negativity. why does everyone hate in this forum? also if u seen a stock ss run 12's then u seen a miracle. they run mid 13's stock maybe low 13's with a good driver. http://www.car-stats.com

Stock LS1s have run 12s ever since they have been out. Its not common, but many have done it. Go to http://www.ls1.com and ask, magazines are complete ****.

i went with my buddy (the one with the camaro ss) to the dyno today and he hit 311whp. so i don't give a **** what time he runs. all i know is that i can hang. thanks for the compliment 1.8. i can take a disagreement.

anyways back on topic..he should be good for like high 12's with those mods and based his 1/8 mile et. gj for keepin up with him

i'm going to take my car to the track as soon as i get tuned. i'm hoping to get mid 13's. this should be early feb. how long are u a trial user for? i have been on this site for about 2 weeks and i have almost 30 posts.

My car could probably squeeze out a 13 flat 100% stock. It runs a solid 12.9 with the lid.
There are MANY LS1's driving around that can run faster than me stock, thanks to my sound system and 150+ pounds of silly options.

hey nathan. have u dyno'd ur car? the one i raced had 311whp and ran the 8th in 8.3. he doesn't know if his is tuned right. do those numbers and times sound about right?
