Power needed to trap 125mph +???

Default Power needed to trap 125mph +???

stupid question but just wondering how much power i would need to trap 125mph+ in a 2200lb car (2370 with driver) ...i know there are other variables, etc, just looking for a ball park figure..

at ur weight around 375 should get the job done. maybe a lil more since u have a b16

trans gearing, FD, slick size can be a factor too....

Rough estimate:

HP = (Trap Speed/234)^3 x race weight

HP: 125/234 = .5342
HP: .5342 x .5342 x .5342 = .15244
HP: .15244 x 2370 (race weight) = 361 whp

damn you are dead on i would say. we went 128mph with 380 whp. can you do the same math for 2300lb with driver. whats needed for 145mph trap??

EDIT: 99' Civic Si NHRA Street Car 10.36@144mph 2850lbs w/ Driver

did this car make around 660+ whp area ?

Check out http://www.prestage.com in the car math section. mpir3 should run a 11.5@118.48 if his car weighs 2370. Big whp numbers whats your combo?

nice find i checked that out, the site is actually a local guys...no way thats happening on the shitty *** track we have...Its fun to play with though if everything was in a "perfect world"
