Default Pipe sealant with e85??

What is everybody using to seal NPT fittings on e85 fuel systems? I tried regular pipe dope but it broke down quickly into a yellow sandy substance

I've used Teflon tape with good results. But only on the pressre gauge. Pipe dope is a big no no. All fuels will eat it up. After a while I changed my fuel system to all AN fittings and no sealant anywhere

Ill give that a shot, wasn't quite sure if there was a special Teflon tape people were using because I've heard ethanol turns the white tape clear..

Any who, thanks!

they make that yellow teflon tape, not sure what the intended use is for it.

also, ive been using the dope on npt fittings on fuel systems for years and it hasnt let me down yet. this is on gas, methanol, and now e85.

Idk if you can see this, but this is what happened when I used regular permatex dope, it almost turned the dope to a yellow sandy/ powderish state

Yellow teflon is intended for Natural Gas and Propane.

The yellow Teflon tape is used for natural gas fittings. Sorry I was a little late didn't see someone already answered that..
