good point. they would lose the appeal of racing for pink slips but it would be far more entertaining with a greater variety of cars. no one with a viper, or a boosted vette or something that would actually be exciting would ever go on that show. however, if they had a "pinks special edition race" or some such bullshit, in which they raced for a cash purse with numerous cars in an elimination style race, they could probably get a ton of awesome cars to show up. think about it. if you are johnny rich nuts and you have a chance to take your modified super car out to the track and show off and potentially win a large cash price, im fairly sure you would be interested. but if you had to worry about losing your 100k dollar vehicle to some guy with a mustang you would probably be less inclined to be on the show.

its kind of circular. the poor people that go on there have shitty cars and there always seems to be an issue with teams not showing up and the producers have to find someone to supplement the team who failed to appear. if you made it attractive to people who had money to burn you could you would also be inviting people who have the means to actually show up like they say they will, so therefore there will be fewer no shows.

also, a special thanks to Jose1995GSR as you are the only person in this thread that hasnt habitually **** out run on sentences.

Just stupidity. You're at a track, use the timing equipment. Even when you're spotting someone out you can have someone stand in the beams so the win light will come on for the winner. It's been done for years at street car events..

That's just one of the many thing i hate about that show. "Street racing" based on Rich's interpretation of it, awesome.

No that's not the one but that was a good show. The one I was talking was a blue 82ish stang with a prostock hood on it, and some 1970 Camaro/Firebird. It was a MIR. Anyhow, that was a good show.

 

the one with the turbo GSR hatchback plain SUCKED *****....that team was full of complete idiots and made real Honda drag racers look AWFUL!!!! by the end the WS-6 was giving him 20 cars AND running without the bottle.
