Default pass tech?

Will shaved handles pass tech? Does there need to be some type of manually operated mechanism to open the door at all? They will just break the window in case of an emergency correct?

i would think shaved handles would pass...if you have a lever that will open the door and a hole in your window so they can access it

thats correct. I guess that I just assumed that we were talking about a street car with glass windows... (so you cant cut a hole)

We are talking a street car with glass. So I should make something that will open the door like a normal handle would?

there is a balance between a race car and a show car, and i dont think that shaved handles are on the race car side of it. what if you take the window out at the track?

you cant take the window out at the track... you have to have windows... and they have to be "rolled up"

So how many have tried to pass tech with shaved handles and did not? How many did? I would much rather fabricate something that sticks out between the door skin and window which would mechanically open the door, instead of using a different door.
I thought it was, that they would just have to break the window in a case with no handles.... Anyway, keep the replies coming.......
