Over sized thrust washers????????

I had to jump my clutch switch at the end of the track last weekend cause it wouldnt start if I had the clutch down. If it was running and I push the clutch down the rpm dropped. I just put a Competition Clutch twin disk in it the day before

My point was really to stress the fact that the most common cause of thrust washer wear is from pushing on them without having oil pressure. I also wanted to point out the fact that just because you have a high clamp pressure plate, it doesn't mean that the pedal effort(which is the only thing that effects the thrust washer) is high. It could be, but not always.
I forgot I made this post. I did go back and check the pedal effort and when you over extend it past the point of disengagment, it increases the pedal effort a significant amount. So with that being said, don't push it far enough to over extend it. You can prevent this with a pedal stop or lower the pedal so it can't over extend it. It would be much better to use a pedal stop so the pedal will be higher to allow for quicker shifts.
