Default oil pickup issues

Anyone ever broke a Moroso oil pickup? Last time at the track, i had ignitor and trans issues. no engine issues what so ever. I fixed those issues, go to load the car in the trailer for BOTI Woodburn, and 0 oil pressure. WTF? checked oil level, fine. checked gauge working, fine. drop the pan, looks fine. start unbolting the pickup, it falls to the ground with the flange still bolted to the oil pump. the weld holding the tube to the flange had broke completely loose. Got it welded back up, but has anyone else had this issue?? oem or aftermarket

Just need it to dry up. Trying to go tomorrow, if the rain holds out a bit.

Yup, noticed the weld was half *** on mine and had been ground down by moroso. Fixed it before it became a problem.

Well, i'm glad i caught it at home instead of at the track. It had fine oil pressure when I put it in the trailer after the last race. Maybe it was just held in there by thermal expansion or some **** from the passes. IDK. Just weird

The same thing happened to ours a few months ago. Re-welded and it's been good ever since.

Is this pickup from the aluminum pan or the 5 quartz steel pan. Good luck with the race.

We tig our oil pickup tube to the flange in our H2b oil pans and haven't had an issue.
