Default oil for breakin in a motor?

what kinda oil should i use for breakin in a motor?....cuz i heard that ur not supposed to use synthetic.....and also how many miles to break in the motor until im rdy to race it?

Yeah don't use oils that have detergents in them. A good (cheap) non-synthetic is what your after.

1000 KILOMETRES (600 something miles) should be enough

Just regular mineral oil should suffice for 500-1000 miles. Then switch to full synthetic.

That's actually a damn good question. IMO, I think everything sets in right around 500 miles but the extra 500 is just for insurance. But if you been through enough rebuilds like my friend's Altima, you probaly would wait till 3K like he's doing.
