Default Nitto NT555R

Does anyone have any experience with the Nitto NT555R? The drag radial. Thinking about getting some for my GSR swapped EF for the coming season of racing.
What is down to your car and how well do they hook?
What kind of tread life did you see from them?
How much of a burnout did you need to get optimum performance?

Thanks,
Sawyer

From what i've READ about the Nitto NT555R they have the worst traction out of MT, BFG, M&H but last the longest. I have NO personal experience with the tires listed above.

I have 205 50 15 MT ET DR's and they have lasted over 600 miles with a few burn outs with them. Still alot of tread left too.

I don't want to hear about how other people have used BFG/MT/M&H with success. I want to hear from the guys who have used the NT555R and what they thought of them.

I have them 205-45-15 100 treadwear, with boosted B16 420whp DD. They're great since I drive them 50 miles daily. They give me about 7000 miles or more. 7/10 in wet conditions. Havent hit the drag strip with em but I usually bring them to 15psi on the street and just a quick burnout is enough. They build heat quickly so a quick drive is usually enough. For season racing I dont recommend since there are better tires for that. But if its for the street, A+

I bought a set of them for my CRX and they didn't impress me much. They did as good as a regular radial tire on the track. I did a weight comparison and they were a lot heavier than a regular tire also. Traction wasn't all that on the street either. I see more RWD cars have success with these tires than FWD.
