Default need help from the pro on stroker kit.

well after two years running my motor, i thinks it time to step it up. Im planing on running a 95mmx86mm (maybe 85mm dont know yet). Now i have been looking around for stroker kit and i came opon this. http://www.pocketrocketsracing....html
The price aint that bad but i dont know how good is this kit. I have been looking at Eagle, Crower, and Brain Crower,or should i get 95mm crank and make my own kit w/ a deck plate. or expletive it sell everything and get a mustang haaahhaha j/p
this motor is going into a street car (only race at the track)
this is my current set if it help. Thanx

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1620582
any info would help i know the rod ratio is going to be around 1.44 with out a deck plate.

the link doesnt work for the stroker kit you found but i would go with either a Brian Crower kit or go with a Scat crank and make your own kit

U have alot more power to unlock before u need to stroke the motor.

But if ur set on it then go with a reputable company.

Good luck w/ the build and merry XMAS!!!!

I would only recommend a stroker setup IF you have done all you can do with a basic stock crank setup and a big bore block. What I mean is, if the simplest setup is not enough power for you and you want more than big bore setup, then do the Stroker kit.
IT really all depends on how much power you want to make. 250s or so, can be done with a big bore motor. Now if you are looking for more than that, thats when you need to go bigger stroke.

To many of my customers that call us, the factors that determine their decisions are:
1. Budget
2. Ease of replacement parts
3. Reliability
4. Potential

It really comes down to what you ultimately want out of it in the end.

well my goal is to keep up with some of the big kats out here chad (crazy train),king compression(k24/crx) Albert(green crx) i know a big bore motor could put some good numbers down, but i just dont see it putting down enought hp to keep up with these guy.
Budget- well i know it cost to go really fast, and building a motor that is reliable isnt going to be cheap. Stroking a motor like that is going to be hard on the bearing so i know and the rod ratios is going to suck (unless i use a deck plate)
i would like to start from starch and get 95mm crank and go from there. I need help with the pistons, i know some people have or sell custom piston but i can find any info so any input would help. thanx

I can help with some piston designs. There is so much power and relaibility in piston design, it is not even funny. There is some info on my site: http://www.bisimoto.com on Bisimoto Spec Arias Pistons. You can also feel free to call the shop.

switching chassis' is an easier more reliable way to gain some et....

chad- crx
scott- crx
theres a pattern

i dont think youve maxed out on power as far as a stock crank size goes....

I have a friend that's somewhat using the Eagle stroker kit. He sold the Eagle rods and whatever pistons come w/ the Eagle kit and went w/ Pauter LS rods and custom JE pistons. His car is a turbo setup but it should be fun to see the outcome of longevity and reliability. It's gonna make the power, just how long will it last revving it to 10k??

Generally when you stroke a motor the powerband is shifted lower in the rpm range. You shouldn't have to rev as much to make the same power or torque. The torque curve is generally also increased w/ stroker kits. Most people also believe you CAN'T rev the motor as much b/c of the longer stroke. The cylinder wall stress is increased w/ stroker setups. Hondas are torqueless wonders and have to be revved. So it's almost changing the principles of a honda engine when you stroke the motor.

Me personally I'd be worried about reliability(i.e. longevity) of that stroket setup. Hondas loved to be revved and a honda motor w/ increased stroke doesn't like to be revved. It's almost oximoronic. I haven't seen too many turbo hondas w/ stroker kits(other than the Del sol) that have been out there really running.

I've lost all my allmotor knowledge but do most big allmotor B-series run stroker setups or do they just do w/ the LS/B20 crank?? Or do they just stick w/ the C1/C5 crank??
