So power street is no longer a street tire class allowing turbo 4 cyl fwd's?

"Reserved for overhead cam 6 cylinder, or naturally aspirated 2 rotor entries only. No turbo, no supercharger, and no nitrous"

Glen, do you mind clarifying the tire rule in t4 a little better? Just to avoid some possible arguing next season.

Rules say:
AWD 1 power adder that slicks are ok.
AWD 2 power adder, radils only.
the it says "AWD entries must run DOT street radial tires"

awesome, thanks glenn

yeah you guys contradict yourselves on that T4 AWD tire rules

but i love the two power adder must run drag radials rule - for the future of this class that was a great idea

Yeah whats up with the slicks ok in power street and only N/A rotories and 6cycl. There was what one 6cycl car running this past season and Me and Jim traveling all over the place running in Power Street. If thats true looks like im building a stroked N/A 2.4 to run NHRA Street stock.

yeh, I am really hoping thats not the case. There are 3 of us locally who have all been building cars for this class along w/ arranging for transportation so we can travel the series. Hopefully it was just something that was overlooked. From what I could tell, the PS class was doing nothing but gaining popularity.

I really hope thatsnot the case also. We had more cars at each race with quicker fields. It wouldnt make sense to do away with 4cycl cars. If anything do away with the 6cycl cars. There was one that I can remeber that ran last year. Also it said in the rules removal of passensger seat and back seat alowed. Its a street tire class, for street cars, going fast with a interior isnt that difficult.

I converted it and put it as a .html file here: (rather large though, 400K+)

Hope this helps...

So it looks like no XTRAC in Pro 4 cyl, but the automatic is ok? Looks like the decision is easy in that class then. Wait till people start trying to use the gm auto with other cars/motors and see how much modification is required!

OK, now I'm REALLY confused. I thought Power street was for turbo cars with
drag radials? I'm hopeing this is a misprint.

Just to be totally clear on the T4 rules.

We need a stock dif, so no Quaife.

No lightweight trunk lid

Does OEM trans mean just the trans that came in that body or can you swap
between models???

I think they might be leaning more towards no spools than anything

the thing about power street has to be a misprint because under that section it sayes that slicks are permited. Unless that is a mis-print.

edit: the whole diff thing may have something to do with its major sponsor- phantom grip. It uses a stock diff.

I heard there was a chain that breaks very easy in the gm auto trans. Yea, its only about 2000.00 upgrade for a stronger titanium chain.

Im only racing one Nopi event in Pheonix so I will just show up in street trim with some slicks. Probably get beat down but it will be the my first time at nopi. Im only in it for the girls

Obviously there are a few minor adjustments to be made. Where better to go than here to have this proof read. Jim, Craig...no worries guys. 4s are still allowed. On T-4, take out the line on "AWD entries must run DOT Street radial tires."

Man that had me worried. I was about to post my car on Ebay. lol

Dwight and I were talking about it after I read that and could only think of three 6 cylinder cars that showed up all year.

Guess I can continue working on the car for next year.
