What about Beech Bend in Bowling Green? Lots of big events at that track and it's located in a good location central to alot of big cities.

Its funny how you guys call alot of people Eracers when we are the ones actually out there doing it, i dont see you guys dumping 5,10,15k in building a car, i see you doing your job!! The little bit of it you do. So you can call me Eracer and i can call you fat ***, that doesnt get us or the sport anywhere!!

Im sorry I like too voice my opinion, im sorry the season is over and i post online,i guess i am a eracer since my car is taken apart right now, so what does that make you? since you dont even race a car!!!

At the end of the day your there for one thing and thats to draw a paycheck,if you did it becasue its something you loved then you would be there for free.So for you its your job. For all of us its a sport none of us get paid to fdo what we do.Racing has been around way before NOPI or Ndra and will be here long after you guys are gone!

i think it looks good you actually have some time to fix things before the next race. travel cost will be down with less races and lets face it most of us are poor i don't think the sport is big enough for allot of races now the kicker will be the rules

nopi = rice
but i still goto all south east events for support of the drag racing scene
looks like nhra wins this round in my book
you would think manufactureres want a even exposure of their brands throughout the us. its ok tho let them do what they want and learn on their own

It pretty much sucks to spend the time, money, and effort to build a car that you really can't do **** w/. Most of us aren't sponsored. Most of us wait all year for race season. Most of us wouldn't own a truck if we didn't need a tow vehicle.

We do this JUST TO RACE!! And it sucks to feel shafted by the racing accociation that you build your car for.

NOPI doesn't owe us **** realisticly but ideally you'd think they'd host some events in there hometown or area. Drag racing has been a national past time and will continue to be a national past time. But I guess NOPI(and some others) think Drifting is going to be the "NEW THING" and it will never die. I personally think differently but who am I.

There hasn't been too many sports out there where subjective ratings and scores make it big. Anytime you need a judge to score objectively there will always be personal biases.

E.T.s or mph doesn't lie or have an opinion. That's my rant. It aint worth **** but it's my opinion.

glad to hear NDRA is trying to hit MMP...

we try to race at any race close by ...as long as its an event or the track is open...we're there to either watch or race....

i think that is the biggest crock of ****!!! Just because someone works for a sanctioning body or a compnay involved with the industry and get to go to races or events on a regular basis means they dont love or have a passion for it... are you high? are you hating on them for having a dream job, something that maybe you would love to do? im able and lucky enough to go to many drag drift and car show events and i feel very, very blessed for what its is i do! and im sure Glenn and a lot of other industry types feel teh same way!!!

sure its a job, but there is sacrifices that go along with it, its not all sunshine and friggin puppy dogs all the time!

it really irks me when people such as yourself sit behind a computer screen and talk about the people that run the shows and travel every weekend, to provide you with an outlet to go and race on a national level!!!

dont hate cuz we get to kill 2 birds with one stone, by being able to participate in something that we love and also make a living doing so!

by you racing do you feel you are better or more involved in the sport then them? just because you race and wrench on your own car? everyone plays a very important and distinct roll in this indusrty, all the way for the manufacturers and enthusiast to the sanctioning bodies to the magazines and the to racers! everyone is equally responsible for their involvment. once you get selfish or self-absorbed, you are no longer a contributing equal.....

Man I am glad that I do not walk around with my head up my *** like you do.

I have had race cars all of my life. My wife and I built an Integra to race with the NDRA the first season it was around. Then I got hired to work for the NDRA so, no racing that car in the NDRA for me. We did sell it to another racer who took it to alot of events over 2.5 years. Trust me, those of us who work for the NDRA do not do it to get rich. We do it because we love drag racing.

As far as taking care of the racers, I think if you ask anyone on here, they will tell you that is what I try and do. Hell, I even hire retired racers to be part of the Tech staff and race crew.

So, if you feel that we do not take care of the racers, please point it out. You have yet to show me where we do not take care of them or listen to them.

When was the last NDRA event you went to? NMRA event? Fun Ford event? NHRASC event? ORSCA event? NHRA Powerade event?

Stu, whats up man? You going to PRI? If so come see us, we will be there supporting the industry, we will have a booth there.

Hey Stu, you retiring this year after making all of your money from not racing and getting paid to do what you love???? What a douche bag..........

We are sorry that you feel shafted, but it is not the NDRA's fault. Out of the venues we have been to in the south, there are very few left to choose from for us.

Moroso - No dates available to us, unless you want to go the first of Feb. They finally decided to close on June, July and Aug for Hurricane season. So now they have to squeeze every thing in earlier.

Bradenton- Track hooks, facility is poor. Not good for Sponsors or vendors or the spectators and racers.

Gainesville - owned by NHRA. NDRA can't go there.

Valdosta- Awesome facility, no crowd=no way for sponsors or vendors to sell thier goods. No fans to watch the racing.

Reynolds-Big crowds, but declined every year, very poor facility, not close to anything.

Commerce - Owned by NHRA. NDRA can't go there.

Steele- Poor track conditions for Pro cars.

Rockingham- Nice facility, good track, no crowds. Refer to Valdosta.

Virginia - Awesome facility, awesome crowd, awesome date. We are no longer welcome there, somebody else wanted our date.

So outside of MMP where do you suggest that the NDRA go?????

It'medavid- 8 hours from LA???? According to mapquest 5hr29min.
How far is it for the teams that go from Mass. 40hrs10min, New York 36hrs45min, Virginia 33hrs41min, Ga. 27hrs4min, Fla. 31hrs14min, Ohio 28hrs, MD. 34hrs39min, TX. 15hrs33min, OKC. 14hrs18min ???????

Yet it is too far for Southern Ca. racers to come, but you will see tags from all of the states listed above. Weak excuse....................................

I must say i am a little dissapointed at the season this year, but we do understand the difficulties in building a sched. I would have liked to see valdosta again, was a very nice track.Rockingham i understand though, its my local track and its always a poor turnout. We built our car to specificly stick with the NDRA because of its continued support for the industry, regardless of the drifting or not. (which on a sidenote i am confused as to what you guys are trying to acomplish with such a spread out season, seems this will only allow big money to race and travel and that is a dissapontment) but for the most part as long as NOPI continues to make an effort to support the racers and the vendors (me being both) i will continue to race in the Ndra. Larger payouts seem to be a good example of them supporting us so im not sure why most of you are crying.
We will debut our Pro 4 car this year, and the only problem i forsee is the racer contract that states you must run a min of 6 events to be in the points race, will that # still apply this year with only 7-8 events? If i miss the points for missing only Phoenix and Michigan that would be upsetting...

Why no Bristol or Norwalk? I feel the Bristol show I went to was one of the best. I understand this past Norwalk event was bad weather conditions but what do you expect when you have it that late in the year. I feel if you had a Norwalk event mid summer would be awesome weather, awesome turnout, overall awesome event. Why are you all being blocked from any track out there? Maybe you all should change up how the races go a lil to prevent being blocked out. Stay on the path you all are on much longer and it will be down to 2 events because no body else will want you. I did not care for the Rockingham event, shitty facility overall and a bad location. I just feel like Norwalk has always been a great hit on the Nopi schedule, sucks to see it go.

Norwalk may be gone b/c it is an NHRA track now.

Even though it was cold at Norwalk this year it was a great event and great time. Everyone that went with me ran their fastest times including me. I was really looking forward to going back to Norwalk for a few reasons.

The only problem with Norwalk, is we can't secure a date there for 2007. The date we want is not available. It is almost impossible to re-arrange our schedule and theirs to meet in the middle on a date.
