NDRA 2007 SCHEDULE
Why don't you check with most on H-T and see what you are doing wrong on collecting.
Hunt, Ballard, Simpson, and the likes, they don't have any problems with collecting.

Racers are paid on the spot after each race. That would be the place where all the racers are gathered after a race. I see you would rather take the whine on Honda-Tech approach........Good move......Has that worked yet?

I contacted Lisa at Nopi many times via phone and e-mail. (She is the one in charge correct?) Sent her snail mail with tax info, called to verify, left more e-mails and voice mails, still no check and no reply call or mail.
I made a prior thread and i'm not the only one having this problem and problems with membership. Maybe you should quit throwing the blame to the people who supported your events and get your **** together.

Get my **** together??? Who verified your contingency??? Who signed off on your form after the race??? Who gave you the form and the stickers to be eligible for contingency????
Sounds like we have our **** together in Tech if you had all of that.
Lisa is in the NOPI offices Monday through Friday from 8:30am til 6:00pm EST. If you sent her the info that she requested, your stuff has been mailed to the companies. Have you followed up with any of them yet?
5.3> Contingency Awards Program: This program is open ONLY to NDRA members. In order to be eligible, participants must meet each of the following requirements:
• Buy and install the components as listed on the 2006 NDRA Contingency Information Sheet.
• Obtain and attach 2 decals of the appropriate size (maximum of 36 SQUARE inches), 1 on each side of car for the entire event, plus wear 2 NDRA & NOPI decals, 1 on each side of the vehicle and be wearing no decals of series competing with NDRA or competitor of NOPI.
• Provide proof of purchase for those items that cannot be seen in a visual inspection
• Report for an inspection of eligibility at the conclusion of each NDRA event
• Do not have decals of competing products attached to the vehicle
• Finish in first or second place. Contingency awards are NOT posted for semi-finalists or beyond. NDRA inspectors will examine the vehicle at the end of each event and fill out a sheet that is mailed directly to the sponsor within days of the event. Sponsors are allowed 4-6 weeks to determine eligibility and process payments to the racer. It is your responsibility to report to the designated area at the event within the time allotted. Cars will NOT be inspected in your pit area or on your trailer. If a racer has not received payment within 8 weeks, prior to NDRA taking action, racers must first contact the sponsor and make a written request to obtain a written statement as to why payment has not been issued. NDRA will not take any action until this step has been taken. Those sponsors that do not issue accounting of payments to racers when requested by NDRA or those that do not produce valid explanations as to why payment has not been rendered shall have on-site and display privileges revoked until they are in full compliance.

The following reply was posted by NOPIMAN:

emails and call were not returned.... When she was asked to leave, she
apparently didn't take car of here lose ends. Contact our events dept
and if you are due any winnings, we will be glad to take care of it.

Lisa does work there, Lisa Henry. She is in charge of the event payouts. Is there someone else that is in charge?

I though you meant Liza, She was in the events dept until a few months ago....Sorry I got Lisa and Liza mixed up. Liza did do the contengency some last year so I assumed that was the issue.
Like NOPIMAN posted, prize money is paid at the event. Most people ask about Contingency, sorry for the confussion on that.
NOPIMAN pulled it down because he had the wrong Lisa. The other Lisa took care of the trophies and some cont. issues, so she is the one that is no longer here.
Matt, we have passed your phone message on to Lisa. I will make sure she calls you today.

With all the new classes allowing those BIG BOY V8s in the Pros I don't see how the hell yall won't have the spectator or racer turnout in the south!!
Look at all the Fast Ford Weekends and 10.5 Outlaw races held throughout the south at all the drag strips. Those events are packed w/ racers and spectators. I attend plenty of other drag racing events at Commerce, Reynolds, Steele, and a few at MMP and they've been ***** to the walls packed!!
Sounds like maybe if you advertised to the V8 community a little more you'd get the money coming in and the Import drag racers in the South would be happy!!
That'll be the best of both worlds. The import guys would be happy. NOPI RACING would make tons of money and it'll be close to headquarters which makes it easier and cheaper in all fronts.

Thank you for making a post that make good sense. Normally everyone just bitches and whines and tell us how much we suck and how greddy we are. It's not the racer turn-out that's the problem. I have no doubt we would continue to get more and more racers. Car show at our evnts in the South are Huge. Unfortunately, spectator count usually deterimines weather we return to a venue/area or not. With the addition of the V8's, there is definately a bit of a different crowd being introduced to NOPI events. However we felt that with only 8 Drag events this year, we would try to concentrate on the major market areas to increase spectotar count and sponsor appeal. Thank you for your question. I hope this explains it from our perspective.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by BLK JDM »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">With all the new classes allowing those BIG BOY V8s in the Pros I don't see how the hell yall won't have the spectator or racer turnout in the south!!

Commerce - NHRA owned, we can't go there. (Fun Ford06 - 4790 Spectators)
Reynolds - Been there before, they won't improve the facility. (NMRA06- 3060 Spectators)
Steele - Been there before, track will not hold 200+mph cars in the 1/4. They run most of thier Outlaw stuff 1/8th mile. We would go back there if they would smooth out the humps at the 1300-1320 foot marks.
Hey Matt, Lisa has no record of your W9 or other paperwork you say you mailed. Can you fax it to me and I will see that it gets taken care of. 404-361-0199
It was for Runner up in Bracket 14 in St. Louis correct?

I know out here local events like imports vs. domestics and after 9 events usually pack the stands. You will hear about them coming up on the radio, etc. When nopi comes to town the only people that even know are the ones involved with the online community (aka the racers). I really think the advertising problem is on your end

Not sure about your area but when NDRA came to alabama the pounded the ads on radio. I heard an ad every 3 minutes seemed like and people flooded that place. There was still a line to get in a 6pm.
