NC Import Vs Domestic Drag Series
Farmington has decided to setup a import vs domestic Drag Series that will take place every other month starting in March. It will have 5 classes, with payouts to 1st and 2nd. including a $1000 payout to the winner of the elite FWD class. The 2012 complete schedule will be posted next week, until then you can check in with the series page to see the rules and classes and updated info along with track info. So please come out and support the import series being as they are hard to find and the Justice's are really putting the effort into track prep and are just as excited as us to present this.

Re: NC Import Vs Domestic Drag Series
I will be attending these events as im not that far away. Farmington has a really good track. My family and I used to take there 67 camaro back in late 04-05.. Car always ran quicker times there then any other local track to us.
Hoping to hit some low 7's in the hatch once i get it switched over to e85 and the different cams. Shooting for around 275-280whp

I'm assuming that this is an 1/8 mile track? I see it says SFWD as a class and the rules for SFWD are run what a brung? Does this mean any car is allowed as long as its FWD?

Our 2012 NC Import Face-Off events are going to be on March 25 at Rockingham and October 28 at Zmax. Hopefully won't be conflicting dates?... just wanting to work with other promotions, not against ;-)

Re: NC Import Vs Domestic Drag Series
uh, who on earth decided this was a good idea?
"*RWD*- 6.99 and faster heads up racing"
I'd go if there was a REAL class for RWD with some real rules.

It's NC man, we don't have many fast imports around here and I doubt many people are gonna drive numerous hours to run at an 1/8th mile track lol. I live here though so I think it's an awesome idea.

Personally, I like 1/8th mile racing. Hondas may not completely shine in the 1/8th, but it is still fun. NC has more dragstrips, not to mention 1/8th mile tracks than any other place in the world, I think!!!!

Re: NC Import Vs Domestic Drag Series
As long as I can get my car together I will try to make it to one or two. Got a lot of work to do though. I like that people try to get events/classes up and going for the FWD crowd. It should draw some people out especially since there is a payout, at least lets hope it draws out a crowd each time.....

Re: NC Import Vs Domestic Drag Series
sent the word out around my area....looking at prob around 6-8 sfwd cars, 3-4 rwd guys, prob 10-15 index racers...but main question I was asked what about the awd guys? Are they running in rwd class with them or just limited to index?

Re: NC Import Vs Domestic Drag Series
They would run index unless they are faster than 6.99 then they would move to rwd. Now thats not to say if we get 8+ awd cars that run 6.99 and faster we would be open to making an awd class.
