Default name this diff??

hello all, i have this lsd that came in a spare trans that i bought. the guy i bougt it from said it was an obx lsd, but it has abolutely no marikings ANYWHERE inside or out. another thing is odd is that there are no washers(springs) between the gears, so when you pick the unit up all the gears rock back and forth just the slightest bit. i DID run this diff with the trans it came in when i first got it on a stock gsr motor. it ran fine felt great, the only problem was that it made tons of noise. which i presumed to be the diff bearings...which were also fvcked lol. all the gears seem to be in great shape, and there were practically no metal shavings inside of it(maybe 3 or 4 specs). but i did read somewhere that the early obx diffs didnt have washers and thats why they made tons of noise . so basically what i want to kniow is, is it an obx lsd or possibly something better or shittier? sorry for the trouble, believe me i spent the last four hours searching trying to get an answer, but everything i came up with the links were either dead or the pictures were dead. thanks for any help in advance
-mike

Agree. It's one of the Quaife knock-offs. M-Factory would say M-Factory on it, Blox likes to fly under the radar with no identification.

thats a obx lsd. someone removed the conical washers..put them back in and your noise will stop.

the old obx units were decent, never had one break, these newer ones will shatter in seconds and the older ones had no markings

yea, im thinking that this one is an old one since it has no markings. maybe ill get lucky and it'll hold some decent power....for a while!
by the way i mic'd the housing bolts, and from what i understand the bolts are supposed to be 45mm brand new...well i mic'd mine and im geting between 45.3 and 47.7mm new bolts and springs are on the way

MFactory does not always have their logo printed on it.

Judging by the poor edges of the gear teeth along with the color of the gears, it's an OBX.
