GM Positrac LSD additive
Ever since I installed my new engine, there has been some LSD noise when taking slow corners while decelerating, and somtimes when starting from a stop. I tried adding GM Syncromesh, it got rid of my 2nd gear grind but didnt help with the LSD noise. I then tried Honda MTF, but it didnt help with the LSD noise either. So after much searching for a product that could possibly help in reducing the LSD noise I came a across somthing after searching on google. Another GM tranny fulid called Positrac LSD additive, which after reading some reveiws of it(from another person with a ZC LSD tranny) that said it almost completly cured the LSD noise problem I decided to goto the local GM deal yet again and pick up some. Its $10 a bottle, and each bottle is about 100ml. I got 2 and added one and a half in with the Honda MTF that was already in there.
I thought to myself that if it didnt work I would drain it all and put some fresh fluid in and no harm done except for the $20 wasted. So the new Positrac LSD additive was in and I take her out for a rip. As I pull out of my driveway I hear a slight clicking like normal as I slowly turn onto the road and wonder how long it will take until I see if this stuff works, if at all. Im driving for about 10 mins when I come up to a corner where I know it will make the noise like it always does. I take the corner with my window down and music off to hear for anything. But theres not noise, its quite as can be. I pull into a parking lot and start doing circles in a effort to make it click. But to my surprise its not clicking at all, or very very little from what it was before.
Just thought I would share my experiance with this product that has done a great job in almost completly getting rid of my LSD noise like I bet some other people have wondered if they could cure as well. I know it will never go away completly, based on how clutch type LSDs work. But its good to know that it wont make loud clicking when taking corners, or squeel when starting from a dead stop sometimes. Good on you GM for making yet another good tranny fluid.

Honda sells that stuff from gm for the f-ing passports. Works great in most friction disk type posi units.
