Default N/A suspension setup?

i'm hoping to break into the 11's n/a....and suspension is the last thing that'll hold me back....so what are some stuff i should be looking for?

i know most ppl won't give out what they actually align their car too...but just an overview of setup is all i'm asking for...

I believe this has been covered before (alignment wise). I think traction bars are a key ingredient to good times, properly sized slicks and gearing will aid as well. Or you could use the same setup that the RLZ racecar is running

i have everything but the actual suspension taken care of
i have aligment specs i'm going to use, slicks, my gearing covered, and mounts

the RLZ car runs uber basic stuff....the cars fast from the driving and power....and there's a LOT left in it.

but with my car...11's will be pushing it to the limits..which is why i'm looking for what will work best..

as of right now, the coilovers i'm looking to get are the D2 ones. they are all aluminum, 36 way adjustable, preloadable, with my choice of springs/valving..... do those sound good?

and then...should i get camber kits for the front and rear?

what bushings are important to replace?

will a front sway bar help wiht traction any?

and are traction bars really worth it? i've been
told that they break axles...by someone that would know

I would say the traction bars are definately worth it. I believe the earlier Z10 traction bars had issues with breaking axles, go with the Full-Race and you'll have no such problems.

The coilovers sound good, just make sure the springs are drag applicable (heavy in the rear).

ront sway bar really dosen't matter, your going straight right?

Camber kits are a must (can't believe I forgot that before).

Bushings i'm not really sure about, I would think it would help to replace the old worn out suspension bushings.

Hope my long *** reply helps.

my thoughts on a sway would be when the front lifts from launching....the sway bar should try to hold both the front wheels down......so it might work...

and i was told that traction bars in general break axles, not a specific brand. i knwo the orginal Z10's killed bushings...but, that's since then been fixed. if i went with any, it'd be Z10, hands down.

Hey, have you checked out the stuff that Moroso Competition Engineering offers? They have a whole traction set up that is fully adjustable and preloadable. These are definitely worth it. Make sure your rear spring and shock rates are way high to keep squat to a minimum.
A front sway bar will reduce any wheel hop issues on launch. Good luck!

sure thing there DH....i'll cry too

and have you ever tried using a front sway bar? have you ever done anything other than a stock one?

i think i can easily make it help some...if just eliminating some wheel hop it'll be worth it
