my advise is to bring them closer to the middle. mine hold well but im gonna add one mor in the middle down were the latch was. I think if i did that the first time id be happy with two. If you have a carbon hood, use a backing plate or keep your stock latch

That looks awesome. Did you run a screen over your exhaust cutout? I was thinking of doing this, or a flapper. LOL.

No. Bubble wrap. Just to keep stuff out of it. I wouldn't make a flapper. It's not a diesel lol.

Do you really feel safe using the minis on your hood? I have them on my bumper and was thinking about the hood just was not sure how well it would work out. Also the big ones are way to much $$$. They look better then any of the hood pins you can get.

I'd feel good with the mini's on the hood with 4 and a mini assist or two with the safety latch. The hood pins aren't cheap plastic like the aerocatch or just a cheesy pin that goes through a hole. These hood pins are very beefy and tuff. YOu buy it once and it's your last hood pin you will ever buy. They sell themselves.

with 4 of them it would not look as nice as 2 but would deff help me sleep at night. I was not saying they are not a quality part there grate. Simple to use simple to fab up and no flat head needed to take on and off. That why I'm using them on my bumper. Just was unsure of them on my hood that's why I asked. BTW i love you car

I'm going to use 2 on my metal hood. when the hood is shut there is very little upward force on it.

I would say if you can retain the stock latch (or at least some type of safety catch) and two minis...I would feel safe on a hood
