i havent talked to reid since this motor was put in but u can expect things like that outta this crew. the story always changes with these guys. the CNC head work they were claiming on their site isnt their work at all. the 262WHP with the B16 bottom end bored and stroked to uppwer 2.1L reid directly told me in my hotel room in woodburn went 11.6s. the 11.0@122 pass that hasnt happened thats posted up on their website. the story gets bigger and bigger.
i like reid, hes a cool guy but for all the money hes thrown at this car u would think it would b a bit faster. good crew, fast talkers and alot of BS is what u will get.

Is this car clean?? YES Indeed... but is the performace impressive? Well im going to have to say a big negatory on this one for now.. You would think for that kind of hp it should be going alot faster.. but maybe it will give my street car a good run as is..

Tuning is probably pretty limited. He`s probably running the stock r gear box, too. It may not impress you now, but it`s just a matter of time....

The power is there, the traction is there, right now the biggest problem is the driver....

Give credit where credit is due. Its the first K series in competition, that alone is impressive. Once this guy works the motor and chassis out I bet it will be a powerhouse.

With the SDS their tuning will always be limited. That is not enough engine management to properly optimize the K. They probably dumped the VTC from i-VTEC as well, which is another no-no.
Hytech's 91 octane street K makes as much power as some high 10-second all-motor cars were making a year ago and its pretty mild, so I'd expect a race motor to make enough power to be pushing 130+ mph. But, I don't want to sound like I'm bagging on these guys. They've got the ***** to do what the big racers have been putting off and its an opportunity for them to jump ahead if they play their cards right and get the engine development program on track.

ive been baggin on these guys for 2 yrs only because of their always "claimed" numbers. they got 40+K into the car for mid 11s(not including this K motor). there is no way ur goin to convince me that they ran this supposed 11.0 from their website in spokane.
at any other track this car has been over a half second off that pace. the car made its 2.1L built debut early this yr and ran low 12s. it did break the 11s the second time at the track with around a 11.9. then came vegas where they blamed their broken motor (on its first pass of the weekend i might add) on the company that sleeved their block cause it supposedly didnt have coolant to the back of the head. so they cleaned up the pistons as best they could to make it to woodburn. then swapped in the K motor for pomona. so the car has seen the track 5 times this yr and noone has seen this 11.0 pass, i wonder why??
still way off pace of what it should have ran. i laughed at reid when he told me this. i couldnt help it. he had a custom low gear set, P@P head, toda Cs, ITBs, on meth, 1800lb car on 26" slicks. of course his reply was "well we have some suspension to adjust." **** i got stock 92 civic shocks w/skunk2 drag launch springs running equivalent 60s. last yrs excuse was "we dont have enough compression to run the meth". hell if u knew u didnt have enough compression y in the hell did they run it????
i think the real reason they moved to the K motor is because they just lost their 10K dollar motor and since it was 87mm they couldnt bore it anymore.
ill put up my $12K car top to bottom front to back anyday of the week against them. bottom of the line it seems with these guys is theres always an excuse besides blaming themselves.

I totally agree with 12NV here. There is always an excuse with these guys and always smack talkin. They wanted to run coolantless yet blame the sleever on the busted engine. The problem is never their fault and quick to excuses as u said. It's really too bad because F2UNING is a great shop with alot of talent. The problem with the last motor (besides running without coolant) was the fact that they had no dyno time with it + SDS. On top of that a gang of money and time has been dumped into that car with IMO no results.....Oh well, it still looks cool I guess
By the way, secretly the reason I ended up going all motor in my h22 civic hb was to show these guys up....with a street car (bites pinky finger Dr Evil style)
