Ha Ha Ha, you guys are funny.
Actually I'm a self-employeed Carpenter Contractor for the past 34 years and earned every cent pounding nails to build my car.
I do most of the work on my car myself and race without a track crew.
Yea, I was cool with the story told to me at the track by Jason.
Then I started getting vids that told a different story (along with people telling me what they saw)
and unfortunately for Miller (by the rules) he lost & I won.
Nice little forum you guys have here btw

This is just insane. Ignorant comments from both sides. I also read the 16 pages of crap and it seems its gonna be the same story here, spotted with a few cool headed races that appreciate a good race regardless of the emblem.
I dont feel a rerun is in order as the other guy already stated he ran out of gear on the top end and would be adjusting his gears to reflect a better compliment to his power band. I dont think the same two machines would be on the line again and feel miller would be a the disadvantage this time having the other side know what theyre up against and miller cant push it too much more.
I sure as hell would go see this grudge match any day though. Sure wish I was stateside and could go.

Honestly, the outside world actually frequent this site and read these threads, perception is not good guys, I understand the on-going “contest” between US Domestic and Import racers at what I would hope to be limited at a spectator level but the posts in this thread are a reflection or window into the mentality of peoples understanding.
Are we as outsiders to believe this is how Domestic and Import represent their sport?
It’s a quarter mile drag strip and all modes of transport have traversed it, I believe the racers have a mutual respect for one another but your hard core element are clouding over the entire scene.

for crying out loud, the man said he could make his car run 8.6Xs on a dirt road... he has backed up everything he has said, so there is no point in thinking he is giving up now... He had a point to prove... DONE... now the rest is just icing on the cake.
^^ Very true.. and miller cant push it much more??? I think you mean that he cant press his brakes as much anymore! lol always on the brakes, and im sure if second gear didnt go out against the vette he would have been on the brakes also. We only have three pages so whoever looks at this and thinks we are doing bad for the sport can screw off! They have 16 pages of 4cyl bashing and talking **** about miller when it wasnt his fault...
The race got screwed up, miller stood his ground, the other guy bent over, and miller delivered a win...

subscribed. I tell you one thing though, Miller invigorates the Import scene in my opinion, this has created quite a bit of buzz and HOPEFULLY, it will allow it to grow further.

i'm looking at both sides here man and there is no way 16 pages of bashing and talking **** about miller. Most of the pages are talking about if the track did the right thing or not and bad mouthing the track official that stopped millers car. Yeah they said some stupid **** like "one run time bombs" and "ricer lynch mod" but we said things bac too. He said he put his car on kill to beat miller and HE talks about one run time bombs. stuff happens yeah our cars hurt a lot of parts but we are still in the times where we are testing and technology is getting better for our cars so we are pushing it. it was a import vs domestic event. let the hype work up next years event and see what happens.
I think it is more than the fan club. The fan club did not write "where is miller" on the back of the corvette at a event this weekend...just sayin
...and just for clearifacation the guy in the first video that looks under the car is Jason Miller, after the waterbox boy called out that he thought he saw something. If their was reason for concern I'm sure he would have called it himself. Thats why when the line man stopped Miller, Jason knew it was the wrong call and called for a re-run even before the vette was off the track. Funny that its made to look like something else, but thats the only footage of Jason looking I've seen.
regardless of what is claimed after the fact, it is apparent the guy with the vette agreed to a re-run due to the situation at hand. It is the track official's mistake, and upon given a chance, the guy with the vette made an honorable decision to do the re-run in order to determine a winner by an actual race instead of a track official's mistake. Now that he lost the re-run and all the keyboard warriors are butthurt on the bullet forum, the guy with the vette has second thoughts about his decision to make a re-run.
corvette guy, you have a nice car, and I'm sure you can make it run better times with more tweaking on your setup. Instead of bitching and crying about the results of a re-run that you agreed to, my advice to you is be the better man here. Either wait til the next World Cup at MIR, or get with Miller and set up a rematch of epic proportions. Tweak your setup some, get better gearing or whatever it takes to get the car down the track better and bring your A game the next time you are out. And don't bring your sleeping back to the tree!

What was kill? As mentioned earlier, the car ran out of gear at 1000'. (this was the first problem free All Out Event with a new 2010 combo)
On the previous runs I was shifting at 7k, lifting & maintaining 7k. For the final(s) I shifted at 7300 & stayed in it, crossing around 7500. (that motor wasn't built for those RPM's) and as you can see It fell on it's face up top.
Next Year? I'm thinking with those incredible 8.3's from Chris, the ice may be getting a little thin running below cert.
(pretty much a guarantee Chris will be running high 7's/low 8's next year)
And Jason will be watching I'm sure. At that point Jason might have to change the rules to slow things down or enforce cert, hard to say?
If it's the latter and Chris builds his "All New Car" (assuming it will be 7.5 cert) I won't be in the hunt, at least not next year.
