Default Looking for SFWD info

I've been thinking about building a sport FWD car and I have a few questions for those that have experience in the class.

Are most of the cars running the H22's? I'm contemplating an LS/VTEC build, but I don't want to be uncompetative if this motor is "sluggish" for the class. Anyone running the LS/VTEC?

Are most of the cars finding it easy to achieve the 2300/2400 weight limits, or is this an uncommon occurance where I could be looking for an advantage?

I want to be able to run the class competitively, but I'm trying to find out more about some of the cars that are running. Thanks in advance.

I would say that most cars are running B-Series. A few H22s. My CRX makes the 2300 lb weight limit with the exhaust. Hatches seem to be in the mid to high 2300 lbs. Coupes in the 2400-2600 lb range. LS/Vtec will be fine as long as it is built.
