Line Lock
Just after some opinions really
Over the past 2 years been watching and learning, viewed sooooo much video footage.
My question? Does anyone run a line lock?
I can see the the benefits, would like to hear peoples real world experiences.
I’m sure it will help preserve the drive train (preloading), stop the creeping in stage, all of which will be useful to me, seen many people try to use the park brake, doesn’t always work though.
I can see the benefits (on paper so to speak) but would like to know the draw backs, is it just a novelty and you can achieve the same results with out.
I was kind of wondering about using one too, do you just have it set up on the front brakes? Is it as hard to preload with the clutch as I think it is? Seems like alot of stuff to keep track of at the lights...
Would it be a good idea to use the clutch pedal switch to release the lock? I'd guess you would drag the rear tires for a couple feet before they started rolling. Is this necessarily a bad thing?
Also, do you replumb the rear brakelines to share a single feed (through a single line lock) or do you use two line lock valves and keep the plumbing basically stock?

A button on the steering wheel will propably work better. In case you need to hold the car in the burnout box longer.
Our front brakes are seperate from the rear.........yes there is one linelock for the rear.
