Does anyone make a lighter alternator mount for the B series? Those cast iron lower mounts are an over kill.

z10 makes a bracket kit built around a very small 1 wire alternator. it can be mounted on the front or back side of the engine.

 

IMO that mount actually isnt "over kill" it's made that way to aid vibartion/flex.

to the OP the obd0 Ls engines had a cheep stamped steel mount that is light weight but honda switched due to them breaking

 

are you talking about a/c mount or alternator mount? I thought the 99-00 si a/c mount was aluminum. I think. I thought I remember seeing an oem aluminum one.

 

the people with d-series have the option of using the aluminum mount on the VX d15z1 engines

 

the itr ac bracket is aluminum but thats not what we are talking about.back on topic.

 

its actually a wet sump system. the oil is still located in the oil pan. the vacum section is completly worthless. best bet is to get it with a single pressure section and the mechanical fuel pump drive. the valve cover breathers (-16 x 2) are way better than this single vacum section.
