I agree but, customer service is a big issue as well... but for the ppg who do you call for parts? Does anyone stock them in the states or do you have to wait months for the parts to get here dealing with customs etc... I have just heard to many bad stories about liberty customer service.. but atleast the company is in the states for parts etc...

that is one reason why i wont use ppg, diff counrty & no one has parts here. if u need them quick ,$$$$$$$$$$$.

i think one of the reasons liberty has gotten a bad name with our stuff is the fact they get calls from poeple that broke their stuff & are bitching about the price & how it should get fixed for free ect.. & they are getting tired of it.

i know with our bug, we use a mendeola trans, paid thousands for it like every race trans
& we do shift with a clutch. we do use a V gate shifter though. but we still shift.
we were having alot of problems for about a year with breaking. but we never called bitching about it. we were pissed about it. after sending it back a few times & it still breaking we decided to buy a jig for it so we could shift it while we had it apart on the bench to see what was going on & made a few changes to the setup & to this day the gears are holding up good. after the gear issue was fixed we switched to axel issues & after 2 years of r&d on that its good.

some of the issues are driver error & if not people need to look into solutions to whats breaking & move forward.sometimes u need to take maters into your own hands & figure it out. IT WORKS

i was quoted 7500 for PPG 2 months ago.

I havn't dealt with liberty but a few times doing the face plate mod on the stock tranny but they were really good to me when i needed parts or even when i get it initially done. Now i just got a full box, we'll see if they can hold that good service they have been giving me. Just dont expect to email them and get a response the same day or within 10 minutes. They do almost all of the tranny's for prostock and now FULL THROTTLE is back in season they are busy as **** im sure .

I get stuff from PPG a LOT faster than I got stuff from M-Factory. PPG may be in Australia, but M-Factory is from Taiwan or Maylasia.... some **** country.

lol to explain a little, the tooth profile is actually different between the ppg and liberty, in that thread a while ago when the ppg was first released it shows close up pics and u can clearly see the difference.

Hong Kong. Factory is right across the border is Taiwan. Why are either a **** country?

My longest delivery time has been 1.5 weeks. That was on a large order that sat in customs for a few days.

Did you get your PPG stuff from Bullhead (in the US), or from PPG (in Australia)?

LSD's (which is what you ordered from us) normally takes around 1-2 working days (minus any customs delays, which is out of our control). That's faster than if we shipped it out UPS Ground within the US. And now that we have setup our shop in Utah, we now have limited stock stateside for those who require items overnighted

And why are Taiwan or Malaysia "some **** country"? Have you been to these countries? What isn't a **** country? USA? UK? Australia?

i stated that wrong i meant how tall across the face of the gear not the actual thickness of the teeth nor how the gears are shapped.
a thread while back everyone was saying u cant make the gears taller in the stock case.

i know the tooth design is diff ect.. but the actual gear width isnt correct?

if so how tall are the gears on both stacks?

so what your saying quality & strength of PPG blows Liberty out the water?

Wrong again.

There is more surface area on the PPG. Wider and taller gear tooth profile.

I'm saying PPG is a better designed gearset.

There is a reason that most of the fast guys are running PPG, the **** works. I have no regrets about spending the extra money on the PPG stuff, especially when I see tons of other guys on "other" gearsets having tons of issues. The lower brace alone will save you from having to buy another gearset if you crack your stock case.

Oh, and now T1 will be a US distributor for PPG stuff, so I'm sure if you need support, you can get it from one of the best guys in the industry, someone that knows Honda drag cars better than most gear manufacturers.

Have you actually been to Taiwan or Malaysia? Have you actually visited some of the factories? You really should stop generalising.....

Low wages because cost of living is low. Increase cost of living (i.e to US levels), and wages will increase. Why would anyone want to spend $6 on a Quarter Pounder Meal when you can get it for $2. lol

The points you state make the "factories" concerned ****, yes, but what why point your finger at the whole "country"?
