I don't think anyone on here is a "dealer" but some seem to have better luck than others. miller is a good person to contact as he has worked with them a LOT!

From what I know it goes like this....

Lowest to highest priced:
M-Factory
Liberty
GForce
PPG

You get what you pay for, but you already know that.

That's the price you pay, if you can find something cheaper let us all know lol

Innes has one ready to go with case/spool for 4200 if you wanted to save some ching

The new liberty has yet to be tested to my knowledge, but my pick is between Liberty and PPG. Sadly the exchage rate is killing the PPG right now but hopefully before we die that works itself out haha

I'd run that hands down if I didn't have to worry about that exhange rate.

I think that "New Liberty" is a rumor. I spoke with Brandon a couple weeks back and he mentioned that there were "no new changes to the current Honda gearset."

I talked to lou at gforce and he said his box wouldn't work very well with 26's or big turbo >67mm. It WOULD break, however in the next 4 months he said he is rolling out something else that is gonna be top notch, and be about the same price as the current box.

Talked to Bullhead Gears and they are very excited about the Albins dogbox that is coming out. They are gonna be very very comparatively priced, and I know some guys have put their synchro box through the paces and it has held up pretty well so far, not to mention the dog boxes they make already for other cars.

I haven't had a chance to talk to the guys at mfactory or liberty yet, and the ppg prices I've seen dissuade me....so as of right now I think if I had to pick I'd get the Albins set or PPG if I could come up with a few extra $k.

Hmmmm this is why I wanted someone who was involved with them at PRI, a young woman and an older guy told Chad and I there are new revisions lol

Or maybe they just thought a fresh set was best? Dunno, I'm a few more months away from that train though! Too bad used ones hold their value so much!

The owner of liberty also told me there was a good possiblity of a redesign for the b series stuff at PRI.

maybe they were changing the metal or heat treatment. Also, the list goes...

Liberty
M-Factory
GForce
PPG

in order from cheapest to most $$...only if you make a pre-release $500 deposit is the Mfactory cheaper than the liberty. Liberty just had a $200 price hike since January also from $3950 to $4150.

Felix has had issues with his box as have people had issues with every other box out there. They are not bullet proof, Just much better than a stock box. Driving style and how you are getting the car down the track will have alot to do with how they will hold up. Just as how some people can run mid to low 9s on a stock trans and make it live. Yet others grenade stock trannies like crazy running times no where near that.

I agree it has to do alot with the driver, and I didnt mean felix has never had a problem even tho I did type that, just woke up and was in a hurry to work. I have the newest version of the box and I guess I just have to think positive. But this is my sec year driving and have never FT shifted in my life and and I am using the tilton fluid control valve so..... I have alot to learn.. But I agree with everything you have said.

About 8 months ago I was quoted $5600 for the ppg gears with brace and I was going to buy but the company would not return any of my calls or messages... I dunno how accurate that was, im sure some of these guys are getting them for better then that tho.
It seams some of the gears are cheaper for the dsm's, at least the ones we have purchased, we picked up our built auto for out GSX for high 3k

i personally dont think the ppg is worth the extra $$. its not like the gears are wider making them stronger.
I woukd rather buy a liberty & IF i break it i will have $$ left to fix it.
