i cant believe you guys are willing to pay that kind of money for lexan windows. hell, i will make them for half that! a 4x8 sheet of lexan cost me $80bucks and i could do a windshield and at least 2 drivers doors of a civic. so, figure 2 4x8 sheets @ 80 bucks a pop, thats 160 bucks material, a few hours to measure, cut and install. hell, thats a nice hourly rate those dudes are getting to pre-fab that sht....
BTW, i havent seen any Lexan/polycarbonate @ any Home Depot. all ive seen there is plexi and plexi cracks if you spit on it....

When you do the lexan yourself, don't you have to rivet the lexan in? The thing i like about the FAL kit is there are no rivets ... anyone done their own and kept the window stock looking with no rivets?
http://www.kenskustomchassis.com has them great service and resonable prices $999 plus shipping with scratch resistant coating
For those of you that have made your own....do you have any expansion problems??? I have a sheet of polycarbonate that i am going to be uing and was wondering if this stuff moves around when it gets warm. I was also wondering about it sitting in the sun. Does it discolor??? If anyone has any experience please post it up. Thanks,

dont use rivots. Drill a small hole, countersink the head and then use a small flat head self tapping screw. Works so much better and you dont crack the lexan nearly as much.

Thats too cheap to be mar-10 scratch resistant which is the only stuff I would use...otherwise they get real beat up real quick.
-When in sun, they dont discolor. As far as the heat goes, it will try to bubble up around where you rivit it in.

i dont use rivets either, i use screws. i havent heard any complaints yet from any officials either.
it does expand a bit but dont worry about it cracking or breaking because it wont.
mar-10 scratch resistant? i dont see any point on a track car....

Question for the guys doing their own, how did you guys "bend/form" the lexan so it had the same shape as the windows, and didn't turn out completely flat. I wouldn't mind the flatness for my rear quarter windows, but for the rear window i would like to have the stock contour to the window, anyone do that themselves or know how to get it done?
