It's not at what RPM you launch but, How you launch the car. Preloading puts the least amount of stress on components IMO.

yes what kind of shot are you running, i launched my car @ 3600 rpms, THATS RIGHT 3600 rpms from the 2 step, and sprayed as soon as i let out the clutch..........result 1.61 60 ft times, spraying a 90 shot wet, on a gsr with type R bolt ons, and cams. with a crappy LSD.

was good for 11.70s all freaking day and it was in an SI hatch not a dx, cx, vx

a fatt pigged SI

I plan on launching my setup at 7500 all day long.

1993 Civic CX
1995 USDM GSR
Clutch
Slicks

Pray to the Honda gods that they like you that day and you hopefully won't break.

better than breaking an axle or tranny.

preloading is when you release the clutch to its highest point without the car moving forward/dieing while taking the rpm to what you want to launch at.

B16 with ITR trany and on AO32RS(15psi) I launch at 6,000RPM.

B16 with stock non LSD tranny and FM901(20psi) I launch at 5,200RPM.

It really depends on how much power you are putting to the drivetrain through the
axles to the slicks because as soon as all the power hits the slicks is going to determine if you break anything. In other terms there are so many factors that have to take place to determine what you launch at like power to the wheels, suspension set up etc.
