laptop mount?
Anyone here using a laptop mount? I'm only using a driver seat so plenty of room for mounting something. I want something to securely hold my laptop for datalogging and such. I looked on ebay and theres some on there for less than $100 but I'm not sure how strong they are. Give me some ideas of what some of you guys are using, if anyone is.

here's one of the police car mounts, you could modify the mounting bracket to fit your car

Im pretty sure you can add on the MOATES DEMON to your ecu and then you can use the real-time tuning and datalogging. Contact xenocron on here. They can help you out with anything and everything you need for it.
Yeah i think ecus like that you have to be plugged in for data logging, Standalone ems' have internal logging you can trigger off a switch or logging while plugged in such as on the dyno.
I have the full neptune rtp demon, but I still figured it had to be plugged in to datalog. I won't have a passenger seat unless I change my class direction, which is why I was interested in a mount.
only when you need nos, and need it by tonight.
i keep my laptop on my passengers seat (ok so i might hide it under the seat going through tech). i usually start the datalog before the burnout and turn it off when im slowing down to pick up my timeslip. even for the street i often drive around with it on my seat just tweaking with stuff.
using the autolog settings does seem like the way to go though

I always wanted a mount. But I always just set mine on the floor in front of my seat. If I put it on the seat, it had a chance of falling off. Never had any issues with the track or tech. I actually had my tuner come in and turn on the datalogging right after the burnout. No one has every said anything.
Jeeez, wtf do you need a laptop mounted in your car for? Maybe Marty can stop by Doc's house and pull one out of the DeLorean for it. Everything worth anything has onboard datalogging. Maybe a desktop would be better, get a inverter, sneak mom's computer desk out to the garage when she's not looking and take the jigsaw to that bitch!! Dude! you're gettin a Dell!!!!

I have S300, and still use my laptop in the car. No real reason, other than I dont want to rely on my parameters to turn on the onboard. Just want to do it with a button, and know it logs.
And NepTune RTP/Demon has onboard as well. Some of us would just rather have the laptop in the car. Also using it for tuning outside of the track, a mount would be useful.
