Default IHRA Classes

What class would a 91 CRX w/ B18c turbo run in?

I am moving and the local track is IHRA and I am curious.

I dont even know the classes in IHRA.

And yes I googled and I have the rule book open.

If you have a rulebook look on page 45, under the Super Stock MX class.

I would imagine you'd fit into the same class I'm running in NHRA. SS/DX

I assume your talking about YDS in Acton Mt. The only racing they currently offer is basic bracket racing. If you could get about 8 cars together they would set up a sport compact class is what we were told, but good luck getting anybody who wants to race. Most would rather sit around and talk about how fast they are going to be.

Pretty sure all that have or had a car that was ready to be at track were! Sorry some of us had technical difficulties ( you should know about those)and have to rebuild! Most of us have families, other responsibilities we have to also deal with. We can't spend every dime we have to get right back out to track, even though each one of us would love to. Plus none of us have sponsors! Plus I didn't realize we had to build our cars to your timeline. My bad!

Guess ill keep sitting on the sidelines saying what my goals for car are and when I get it out there is when I get it out there. I am not into this to build my cars for others! Just for me!!

Sorry to thread jack just tired of reading negative bullshit!!

Wow, you know it's very unhealthy to be so negative. I think your hatred comes from being so worried about having competiton in areas that you think you dominate. It's ok to have rivalry, but you constantly take it passed the point of disrespect. Maybe it's your "old school" mentality. There's plenty of cars and people around the billings area that have way more dedication then you could dream up. Just because you've been in the game so long doesn't make you elite or any better then anyone. What happened to it being fun, and a common grounds for people to have a good time. Grow up, lose the chip on your shoulder.

When you try to do **** right the first time around it does tend to cost quite a but more and take a little more time. Setbacks happen, but we are all trying to build cars slightly above the average caliber of most sport compacts, let alone those in this state, in addition to raising kid(s) and having additional priorities. It will happen locally eventually... we all have an undeniable love for the sport, its just a matter of making it all happen at once. Not to mention with our crew of friends, you're still only looking at 5 cars if every one of us is in running order... so we'd still be shy a couple cars???

It doesn't matter what I type, you guys are always going to put another spin on it, whether it is aimed at you, my nephew, or whoever. I wasn't aware that you and "your crew" were the only people ever to come to the track and talk about their cars. There's more out there than you guys, so don't get uptight when I say something.

dyno76, you are talking about building your car around my timeline.... YOU are the one who said you would have a class this year, and asked if we would support it. So who's timeline are we actually working on here?? And when you said you were having issues getting your fabricator to do the work, didn't I offer my fabricator??? I am not sure how that is not helping someone else. Besides the loaning of parts and tools that we have done to your crew.

Bugeyed_evo, I am not sure that you REALLY know us, and what kind of people we are. I am always excited to see a fast car at the track, whether it be sport compact or not. A fast car is a fast car. And no, we don't think we dominate this field. If I was so damn worried about having competition, I wouldn't being traveling to races where there are 45 cars in my class alone. Believe me, there is a lot of competition at these races. And we have helped people in our area build cars, so it's not like we don't help anyone out and only take time for our own car. "Our crew" knows differently.

Good to know that you guys are the only ones ever with lives, kids, other obligations. And I don't know whate ever happened to racing being fun. I come to the track to have fun and not for any other reason, or for anyone else.

So quit being overparanoid when I say something. If I don't mention YOUR specific name, it probably doesn't pertain to you. If I have something to say to you, I will tell you to your face, you can count on that!

Trying to dodge a bullet there? I'll call it like I see it. How many others are making an effort to race sport compact at the same level as us in town? We're not naive, or stupid - and you stir the **** pot all the time...

Ok, I might not know you, but I know you have a sour spot. I've read enough of your 2 cents to make more then a assumption of your attitude. Your constantly s*itting on people with half of your experience that are all biting at your heals. You severely misconstrued my original message and then manipulated it to your liking. You know you aimed that message at the billings crew so just own it. I can't wait till this is posted on your Facebook page so you can feel heroine in front of your crew.

I will be making my way up there with a few friends this next season. One of us ran a high 10 sec, and we both hope to be in the lower 10's, on your track this next season. Hope to meet you guys while we are there. Always fun to meet new people and share ideas!
