Hondata 3 step question
is their a way to splice in a dash mounted siitch to turn off the clutch activated switch and make the car behave like normal? the reason I ask is because when downshifting i gett a sputter untill it hits 4000 rpm(where i have my launce set at) and also it would be nice to switch it off for burn out and then activate it. thanks
just program the 3 step to be activated at like 9000 rpms... When racing on street tires I'll have mine set at like 5500 lets say, but then when I'm not using it I reset it for a higher RPM that I normally wouldn't do on normal driving situations.
ok thats cool for street use but what about warming up my tires? i have to set it high, do burn out and then hurry to reset it to my launch point? I know its just the completion or lack of completion of a circut through the switch....i just need to know which it is if anyone knows

you can always splice in a switch(on/off), on one of the two wires coming from the box. that's what i have thought of doing, the only thing i havent figured out if it will need a fuse!

You can easily warm up your tires with the launch control set at where ever your launch rpm is set at... For example... I launch at 8,000 on slicks... but I only rev it up to about 4-5000 rpms or so when starting my burnoff.... On street tires, I'll launch @ 5500 or so, but starting my burnoff I'll only have to rev up to 2-3000 rpms... make sense? it takes very little to get the tires spinning in a water box at a sanctioned track.

I have a switch located in my center console hidden. Works great.
