Help with purchasing a Two Step system
Hey guy's I'm in the market for a Two Step unit and I'm not too sure what would be best for me to get. My car is tuned on Crome and I have heard that the two step option on Crome is not the greatest. I want something that I can adjust when I'm at the track.
I was looking into The MSD unit's but not exactly sure which unit I need, and If I need to have MSD ignition to make the Two Step work? If you guy's could help me out in getting the right product that would be much appreciated!

Thanks for the reply.
Is it pretty striaght forward? Just set it to whatever RPM you want to launch at?

you have to change out the pills to whatever rpm you want to launch at. I used the ebrake switch at the handle to activate it. Its like 4 wires to hook it up

As much as I would love to do that, it is not an option at this time. I just spoke with a V8 shop and they told me The MSD Two Step PN8739 can only be adjusted with chips? Not too sure what he means by that, but I'm more or less looking for something with dial indicators that allows me to pick whatever RPM.

yea it uses the RPM module pills but u can also get the launch control module selector box, so u can adjust it from the inside of the car. but u also do need the msd igintion box to go with it. To be honest i would just go with the hondata s300 as stated above.

I use Neptune's 2 step and love it...here are the features of it.
"Activation by MPH - No need for a clutch switch!
Activation by TPS threshold - Rev until any RPM you choose, cross the TPS threshold and it holds that RPM
Activation by switch/clutch switch - Can be used to turn 2-step on/off or used as a clutch input
MPH threshold for 2-step - Can help limit you off the line to keep traction under control
Ignition Retard/Fuel Enrichment - Allows you to build boost off the 2-step
TPS threshold for retard/enrichment - Allows you to pre-stage on the 2-step before building boost
Full Throttle Shift - Holds the target RPM during shifts. Requires use of a clutch input
Selectable clutch switch input - Several inputs to choose from to fit what’s available "
Its much better than Cromes 2 step. If you get Neptune RTP then you can tune it yourself, thats next on my list.

Thanks for all the insight from everyone. I'm going to try the Crome two step first and see how that works for now. I would eventually like to upgrade to Hondata s300 or Neptune, but right now Crome is working for well for me and my setup.
