ok i have been reading alot of archived posts here and its really getting me excited about building an LSVTEC. my goal is to run low 13's on street tires and 12 on slicks. do you guys think this will be enough to do that. possible hp #'s would be helpful too. i was thinking this should hit about 190+whp
in a 2300lb hatch including driver
LS block w/ golden eagle 84mm sleeves
12.5:1 compression JE or Wiseco probably
Eagle rods
JDM B16 head ITR intake mani ( already have these)
CTR intake cam
and a header.
will that be enough. i know that the head is mild but that will be a strong block. also do you guys think that i could do without the 84mm sleeves. kind of threw that in there b/c i don't know if the LS sleeves can handle the compression. and i would love the extra torque. but if i can hit my goal without spending that extra cash it would be great.

i had a bone stock ls bottom end with a bone stock 2000 civic si head...only other mods were an intake and a skunk2 p28(only reving to 8500) had a stock dx exhuast with no muffler....it ran 14.2's all day long
edit : this setup was in a 92 civic si. full interior
edit #2 this was with the stock wheels and some b.s tires....getting 2.0 60ft's
i think with around a 12.0:1 compresion with stock bore, eagle rods and je pistons, itr cams, valves, valve springs, ti retainers, some 310cc injectors with an afc to to tune the fuel, a chipped p28, a header with a 2.5 inch collector and a full 2.5 inch exhuast(with no cat) you should be able to run mid-high 12's on drag radials
might want to invest in a clutch too.
ps. i have never done this or seen anyone around me have this set up, but im sure it would run like a mother.
