Default Is he beatable?

I see that Erick won again today, so is he beatable or not?

There will always be someone faster. Right now, Erick is at the top of the game. Next year, who knows...

Anybody is beatable, but if you beat erick expect him to remember that and come back and get you. Erick is so competative that makes it a point to be one step, even 2 steps, ahead of you. It is amazing how simple his set up is and how he thinks out side of the box.

Not in the NDRA, not this year - barring mechanical problems or driver error.

As others said, things change, but I look for Erick to be near the top of the game for at least the remainder of this year and to be contesting for championship honors next year in NHRA. I don't expect the NHRA to be the walkover that NDRA has, if for no other reason that the competitors are better funded, but Erick is on a roll. IDRC last year, NDRA this year....

The rise of the K-motors will make things interesting though, and I think provides the best opportunity for another all-motor Honda racer to upset him. And people like Leslie Durst (who ran very well in Vegas) and Bisi are certainly gunning for Erick on the technical side of things.

At this time, he's putting down some great numbers. Like any competitive sport, its exciting for the top dogs to be going at it and see what turns out.

I just wished he competed more in the events where all the teams are going to.
I understand points standing, sponsor commitments and event/date planning so there are many factors that they choose where to be at.
I truly enjoy it when, Erick is competing at an event where Ken Scheepers, Leslie Durst, Norman Aubry, Jeremy Lookofsky, Skunk2, Jesus Padilla, Bisi, Mohler, etc are all in the same event. Makes every round and every race so exciting and worth going to.
The field all so fast that it can be such a close race.

OT: but check out the close race between Crawford and Kenny Tran at this weekend's NHRA vegas event.
both 8.906 ET but kenny wins by the R/T at .508 vs Mike Crawfords .535
NOw thats RACING!

And keep in mind that the density altitude in Vegas was over 4000 ft at 1am in the morning, so it wasn't exactly conducive to good times. I suspect that Leslie has a 10.4 or 10.3 in the car on a really good day.

don't forget about L'Natural... we have also run in the 10.50's at NHRA weight and have run in the 10.30's at battle weight... we have some things up our sleeves for the second half and we hope to really make a good showing!

just throwing our name in the mix...

eirck, at this point in the game is on top of the game. just in the same fashion that we where the team to beat last year. its all in the time and place. right now ericks time and place is right here and right now. barring mechanical failure this weekend at nopi might have been different. we went 10.47 and had a direct line to the finals. it just did not work out for us again, just as is has'nt for most of the season. right now erick is the man, but believe me there is always some one on there way to being faster!

there's no rerason to not be cool to each other and be personable. without the help and support of others in the sport, import drag racing would still be nothing. we kind of look at it like this. competition and friendship are easily distinguished at the tree, but in the pits life would be boring without people to hang out with.

Also 3800 in St Louis this past weekend. 10.47 for Norris and Erick's 10.35....knock off a couple or maybe a few tenths off of both times. Another car soon tracking into the 9s......
